Throughout the process of creating this parody song, I learned how to use Pro Tools and some of its commands, plugins, and audio enhancements. These were difficult to get used to, but I managed to persevere and take tiny steps towards creating the final product. For the project, I took some time to think more about what should be added or changed, and made improvements towards those areas off of the base of what we learned in class. However, I think that my partner and I could have definitely tried to record with a proper microphone to enhance audio quality. Besides that, I am still proud of how the parody song turned out overall. I think that I was able to successfully put my current Pro Tools ability to good use for this project.
I find that learning more about how to alter audio will come useful towards anything that deals with audio production. This small step into Pro Tools has taught me to appreciate the audio production that goes into music. With the amount of details that go into adjusting audio to change tone and intention, it makes me realize that music is much more than a raw recording file. The production can play a big part of what makes music an art form, and is something I want to continue to recognize and acknowledge.
